A local Nashville unicorn, Johnna graduated with honors from Mt. Juliet High School, and attended MTSU with a Psychology/Counseling focus. Her need to help others sparked early - Johnna worked with Americorps/Tennessenior Corps in the early 2000s, and then earned her certification in CPR, and taught low impact exercises to senior citizens through Arthritis Foundation. Also certified through Prevent Blindness TN, Johnna was trained to screen children’s vision in area schools for Head Start Programs in the Nashville area.

Previously, Johnna has partnered with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels to build wheelchair ramps and deliver meals for homebound Senior Citizens. She was also a recipient of the Athena Awards Nontraditional Women’s Scholarship in 2014.

Fiercely inspired by her daughter’s survival of Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), Johnna volunteered for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital from 2014 - 2016.

Professionally, Johnna is thrilled to recently accept the role of Treatment Specialist with Addiction Campuses of America, and continue to mentor and coach at a local, family-owned gymnastics studio in her spare time.

Proud to be celebrating 2 years of sobriety on April 21, she and enjoys telling her stories to others, while maintaining the anonymity of the culture. Johnna specifically hopes to help break the stigma of what alcoholism “looks like” to others. Passionate about helping and coaching other women to live their best lives, she is very active in the Nashville urban sober community.

In her spare time, Johnna enjoys ghost hunting (eek!) with her tight knit group of friends, bargain shopping, camping, hiking, spending time with her two kiddos, and international travel - she is visiting the Netherlands for the second time in March 2019.

Please help us welcome Johnna to the organization - we are honored to have her!
